  • Day 1: Arrival – Chengdu (D)
Fly to Chengdu, the guide will meet you and take you for some sightseeing in Chengdu city, which covers the Chengdu Panda Research Base and Jinli Folk Cultural Village. The Chengdu Panda Research Base is one of the major highlights for the Chengdu tour. It was constructed in 1987 and opened to the public in 1988. Its purpose is to enlarge the population of Panda bears and reintroduce them back into nature. This visit allows you to have a deep understanding and love for such an endangered creature.
    Day 2: Chengdu – Lhasa (B/L/D)
After your breakfast at hotel, transfer to Chengdu airport for your domestic flight to Lhasa. Our guide will meet you at Konggar Airport and transfer you to Lhasa city with about two hours of driving ride ahead of us (100km). On the way, you'll be greeted by Nie Tang Buddha - a Buddha image engraved in the mountain face. After you have arrived in Lhasa, you will get some time to rest and acclimatize.
    Day 3: Lhasa (B/L/D)
You'll have the whole day of sightseeing to do in this holy city. In the morning, visit one of Lhasa's landmarks - Potala Palace, a structure that deserves a place as one of the wonders of eastern architecture. In the afternoon, you will visit Jokhang Temple; the most revered religious structure in Tibet. Next up are the Nunnery and the surrounding area which is called Barkhor: Lhasa's pilgrimage circuit. This area is both the spiritual heart of Lhasa and the main commercial district for Tibetans.
    Day 4: Lhasa (B/L/D)
You'll have another day to explore more monasteries in this holy city. In the morning, you’ll visit Drepung Monastery which used to be the world's largest monastery with a population of around 10,000 monks. In the afternoon, pay a visit to Sera Monastery which is famous for its "Buddhism Scriptures Debates". Then, you will travel to Norbulingka - Dalai Lama's Summer Palace, which contains the summer palaces of the 13th and 14th Dalai Lamas and is characterized by its spacious walled garden; the main throne hall; an audience hall; Dalai Lama's private apartment and his mother's apartment.
    Day 5: Lhasa – Gyantse – Shigatse (B/L/D)
From this day, you'll get to explore the outside of Lhasa. In the morning, drive 110km to visit Yamdroktso - one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The journey consists of winding road up the mountain; bumpy but somewhat thrilling. After you pass over the Kambala pass of 5030m, the lake finally appears. Seen from the summit of Kambala pass, the lake is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. After travelling down from the mountain, there’s about a 30km road along the lakeside, with barley fields on the other side of the road. A nice walk by the lakeside can be a great joy. Leaving Yamdroktso is as spectacular as arriving since you’ll cross the 5045m Karola, with its awesome roadside views of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier. In the afternoon, you'll go to Gyantse to visit Kumbum Monastery located there. After that you’ll drive about two hours (100km) to Shigatse.
    Day 6: Shigatse – Lhasa (B/L/D)
In the morning, you'll pay a visit to the residence of Panchen Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery. After visiting this magnificent monastery and having lunch at Shigatse, you'll go back to Lhasa along the Yarlong Tseangpo River, enjoying the great landscape en route.
    Day 7: Lhasa – Nyingchi (B/L/D)
In the morning, drive to Nyingchi area along the Yalong valley, where we will have a hike along this
    Day 8: Nyingchi (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you'll go and see the old pine which takes about 2500 years to grow before paying a visit to the special Temple in Tibet. Lamalin Temple, a temple of Nyinma order, is an ancient order of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon you will get to enjoy the Lulang forestry, which commands a long distance view of Mt. Namchak Borwa Range (average height is 7787m). On the way back to Nyingchi, one can also get to enjoy the great landscape en route.
